We often think happiness eludes us, or we believe we need a certain string of events to occur to be happy. The fact is anyone can experience happiness. Being happy is a choice and is influenced by how you approach events and circumstances you may find to be undesirable.

Make an effort to eat healthier, challenge yourself with exercise, embrace your spirituality, clear your mind with meditation, etc. When your mind, body, and soul are all in harmony you’ll be in a better position to embrace happiness.

As the quote goes, you become like the five people you spend the most time with. If you’re choosing to spend that time with negative people, eventually their negativity will rub off on you. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, unsatisfied, and hopeless it may be time to take a look at those you are spending the most time with. Are those around you continuously complaining about their everyday life, whining about their bad luck? Take back your happiness and instead choose to surround yourself around other happy people. Remember: You can only change yourself, not others.
