As I consider the list of activities that help me relax, nature shows up in a lot of them. Meditating outdoors. Taking a walk. Napping on the screened porch.  Being by a body of water, whether it’s an ocean, a pond, a stream, a river, a waterfall. Photographing flowers, insects, clouds, fish . . . . whatever draws my attention. I feel gratitude, inspiration, calmness, joy, compassion. Grumpiness from stress falls away, love takes its place.
